Serviço social, educação e família: a intervenção do/a assistente social na escola na perspectiva do fortalecimento da cidadania

Abstract

This paper aims to study the social intervention of the Social Worker at school and seeks to answer the following central question: How does the social worker act in the school context in working with families to strengthen citizenship? Its general objective is to understand the role of the social worker with students and their families in the perspective of strengthening citizenship. This is a qualitative and exploratory approach study and uses as methodological procedure the bibliographic research and whose data were collected in journals, theses and dissertations. The research revealed that Social Work has an important role in dealing with expressions of the social issue present in the school context and that the family and school play a fundamental role in the construction of citizenship and the intervention of the Service.
